    Bishopric message

Good evening Parley’s 3rd Ward, Tomorrow is our November Fast Sunday. It is our prayer that we can “draw near” the Lord through our own fasting and praying. D&C 88:63 “Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you”. We look forward to fasting together and sharing our faith with those we care about so deeply. Tomorrow is a 1st Sunday attendance group, which includes last names starting with letters A-K. As always, if tomorrow is not your assigned Sunday to attend, but you have desire to…

    Bishopric message

Dear brothers and Sisters, For those of you that intended to view our sacrament meeting virtually today, I apologize that you were not able to do so. Unfortunately, we experienced some unexpected technical difficulties with our YouTube streaming. The streaming was successfully tested earlier in the day, but when we went “live” it failed to function properly. We attempted to troubleshoot the issue unsuccessfully, and then tried to set up a Zoom meeting real-time. Zoom now requires passwords or manual admittance, things that we were not prepared for. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience. I know many of you look forward to being part of our meetings each week. We…

    Brother Brad Johnson

“This has been a great day. The end of my earthly travels. We decided a couple of days ago that I wasn’t going to get better and so I am able to decide it’s time to go on and be with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know we have been given a plan of salvation, a plan for happiness. Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us all to be the best. He has given us tools to overcome challenges, the gospel of Jesus Christ, prayer, temples, and scriptures. If we follow Jesus Christ’s example we can have true joy. Thanks and love to you all, Brad”  …

Salt Lake Parleys Stake Presidency Message

The Salt Lake Parleys Stake Presidency has prepared the following statement for your careful consideration: We feel the need to draw your attention to the teachings of Jesus when he taught: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9).[1]  President Nelson reminds us that Latter-day Saints are in a “pivotal position to emerge as peacemakers.”[2] As “peaceable followers of Christ” (Moroni 7:3), our objective is to become a people who practice peace and reconciliation (See 2 Corinthian 5:18-21). Unfortunately, our current cultural and political climate is one of division and discord. In last week’s General Conference, President Oaks acknowledged: “We live in a time of…
