Good afternoon friends in the Parley’s 3rd Ward, We are so encouraged by all of the many wonderful things happening in our community at this time. There is progress with vaccinations, our children are back in school (sort of), we are receiving needed moisture and many are engaged in serving others. “The enduring joy of the gospel” is a phrase from the new Aaronic Priesthood Quorum Theme. But why is joy described as enduring? And as something rooted in the gospel? Well, joy in the gospel sense is different from mere pleasure or contentment. President Russell M. Dear Parleys 3rd Ward, We hope you had a nice week. How fun it is to have snow and winter weather! Scripture of the week: D&C 14:7 “And, if you keep my commandments and endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of God.” We are so thankful for the Plan of Redemption. Good evening Brothers and Sisters, We hope you are enjoying the needed moisture we are receiving. Scripture of the week: Doctrine & Covenants 10:55 “Therefore, whosoever belongeth to my church need not fear; for such shall inherit the kingdom of heaven”. Tomorrow we will be pleased to hear from Calvin Woolley and both of our full-time missionaries, Elder Lee and Elder Mercado. We are now able to accommodate as many as 150 participants in our weekly in-person sacrament meetings. Good afternoon friends, We hope you are enjoying the beautiful sunshine today. On Wednesday evening, the young women held their annual New Beginning’s meeting. It was a real treat to see our young women gathered together in the chapel enjoying their tender friendships. In the meeting the girls and their leaders introduced the new incoming young women and shared some of their many talents including singing & playing musical instruments.
