Good evening brothers and sisters,
Tomorrow, Sunday September 13th will be our first opportunity to hold in-person sacrament meetings since early this year. We are excited to worship together and to see many of you face to face. Also, you may have heard on Friday, the Church and specially our area made some revisions to our church services and return to church plans. We are fortunate to be able to use virtual technology to stream sacrament meetings to our homes. We intend to do this tomorrow for both sacrament meetings. We were also given permission to have meetings of 150 people in our chapels. Up until then we were only allowed 99 people to gather at one time.
The in-person meetings will be held at 10:00am (Last names A-K) and 11:30am (Last names L-Z). Both meetings will be 45 minutes in duration.
Tomorrow we will be blessed to hear from two of our own missionaries, Elder Andrew Thomas and Elder William Poulson. Elder’s Thomas and Poulson will be speaking in both meetings. We are grateful to these two young Elders for the dedication and desire to serve the Lord as a full time disciple of Jesus Christ. We look forward to hearing their testimonies.
For those who will join the meeting virtually on Zoom: Below you will see Zoom links for both the 10:00am meeting and the 11:30am meeting. Because the ordinance of the sacrament should not be streamed or recorded, the Zoom screen will be blank and the audio will be off, until the ordinance is finished in the chapel. We would encourage you to have your own in-home sacrament at this time if possible. The Zoom video and audio will come on approximately 20 to 25 minutes after the meeting start times (i.e. for the 10:00am meeting, the Zoom video and audio will go live at approximately 10:20am – for the 11:30am meeting, the Zoom video and audio will go live at approximately 11:50am. We ask for your patience if we are a little late finishing the administration of the sacrament and/or we experience technical difficulties. Please note: You will be able to join the Zoom meetings at 10:00am and 11:30am, but you will NOT see video, nor hear audio, until the sacrament administration is completed in the chapel.
For those who will join the meeting in-person in our chapel: Earlier this week we sent out some of the COVID -19 precautions and protocol we are implementing for our sacrament meetings. Thanks for your support in keeping us all safe. Please bring your Masks. All who attend will be required to wear a mask when entering the building,during the meeting and when exiting the building.
We wish to thank all those that are working diligently in making these first meetings happen safely and smoothly.
We anticipate having addition instructions from our Stake Presidency in the next few days regarding the continued return to church timing.
