    Brother Don Ray Evans

      October 1, 1935-October 23, 2020 Don Ray married his eternal companion, LaRene Christensen, on September 8, 1955, in the Salt Lake Temple.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many positions, including Home Teacher and Boy Scout Master, where he led 14 boys to become Eagle Scouts including his 2 sons.  He is survived by his wife; LaRene, two sons; Brad (Chris) Evans and Doug Evans, grandchildren; Sarah, Michael, Candice, and Alexis, great grandchildren; Payton, Nate, Lizzie and Jackson, Sisters; Berna Dee Reid, Joene Martin and Vicki (Judd) Coon.     “This has been a great day. The end of my earthly travels. We decided a couple of days ago that I wasn’t going to get better and so I am able to decide it’s time to go on and be with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know we have been given a plan of salvation, a plan for happiness. Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us all to be the best. He has given us tools to overcome challenges, the gospel of Jesus Christ, prayer, temples, and scriptures. If we follow Jesus Christ’s example we can have true joy.     Dear Parleys Stake Members, We cannot express enough how grateful we are as a Stake Presidency for the creative and Christlike ways you have served one another these past five months while we have not been worshipping together on Sundays. As you know, the First Presidency announced in late May that Stakes could begin holding sacrament meetings again at church buildings.  Since then, we have met consistently and counseled together with our bishops and Stake sister leaders concerning the appropriate time to return to worshipping together on Sundays.  Indeed, we worked together to develop a detailed plan for our Stake to safely hold sacrament meetings.  We have tried to be…
