Bishop Wallis – Message

What a time we are living in. I was comforted by the prophet’s message of hope that he shared yesterday. President Nelson stated:

“Our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, know us, love us and are watching over us. Of that, we can be certain…these unique challenges will pass in due time. I remain optimistic for the future. I know the great and marvelous blessings that God has in store for those who love Him and serve Him. I see evidence of His hand in this holy work in so many ways. So, during these uncertain times, be comforted by this promise from the Savior, He said, “I the Lord am bound when ye do what I say.” I promise you that joy is always within the reach of everyone who will hear Him and obey His laws. Brothers and Sisters, please take good care of yourselves and your loved ones. And look for opportunities to help those around you, near and far. We have the great privilege of ministering to our neighbors wherever they live. Temporary changes in our normal routine may allow additional time to experience how precious home centered gospel study can be.”

I am grateful for our prophet’s love and guidance and desire to do all within his power to protect and direct His church and its members around the world. May we all continue to minister to one another, work on memorizing the “The Living Christ”, study Come Follow Me, work on family history work online and study the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ in preparation for our upcoming General Conference.  If there can be a silver lining from this experience, it may be that this gift of extra time and perspective, that sometimes can only come as we experience trials, will allow us to refocus and center our lives on the Savior and His example and follow His teachings and guidance from our prophet.

May the Lord openly bless each of you for all you are and all you do. I send you all my love and blessing. I am here and ready to serve you in any way that I can.
