    P3 Family History Newsletter 2021 Winter-Spring

Hello Parley’s 3rd Ward Some months ago Jim and Natalie McCullough, our Temple and Family History Specialists, extended a challenge to several to consider any object that has special meaning to them that they had received as part of their own ancestor’s legacy. Shortly thereafter, as part of our 5th Sunday meeting, the McCullough’s shared a video of the people with their meaningful object’s and their stories. If you were not able to participate in the meeting or not able to see the video, here is the link. The McCullough’s then extended that invitation to us all, see “Call for Stories” below. The 2021 Winter/Spring newsletter includes some additional objects…

Good afternoon Parley’ 3rd Ward, We hope you enjoyed Mother’s Day last weekend. We are blessed to be surrounded by such loving and compassionate women. And, we are fortunate to have impressive graduating high school seniors that represented themselves and their mothers so well in their sacrament meeting addresses. The Gospel Living App message of the week – Patterns of Light – Elder David A. Bednar“Sometimes God’s message is like a bright light in a dark room. Other times it’s more like a gradual sunrise. Sometimes receiving inspiration is like a foggy day… You can see just enough to take a few steps ahead into the cloudiness. I don’t know…

    Bishopric message

Good afternoon, We hope you have enjoyed a beautiful spring Saturday. Here is a “Come, follow me” quote from the Gospel Living App about God’s desire for us to be happy: The Lord is delighted to bless us. God is looking for ways to bless, encourage, and support us. Some people think of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as angry and stern beings, always looking for an excuse to withhold blessings. But the truth is the opposite! “Hearken and hear, O ye my people, saith the Lord and your God, ye whom I delight to bless with the greatest of all blessings” (Doctrine and Covenants 41:1). The Lord is eager to bless us. It makes Him happy!…

Good evening, We hope you are having a safe and peaceful weekend. Thank you to all those that participated in an inspiring Ward Conference last Sunday. We would like to share a thought from the Gospel Living App – “How I Hear Him”, by President Dallin H. Oaks. President Oaks says that the Lord can bless us and others if we Hear Him. “When you get an impression, act upon it, however unusual it seems or however inadequate you feel in following it.” Just as Joseph Smith was asked to Hear Him in the spring of 1820, we are asked to hear him today as we celebrate the Restoration of…

    Update Regarding COVID-19

We cannot begin to express our feelings of gratitude when it comes to seeing more and more members return to our church buildings to worship Christ together in person.  We are grateful for the mindfulness you have displayed during the past year, whether it be mask wearing, social distancing, or following other guidelines and protocols we have been encouraged by our government and church leaders to follow.  We also express gratitude to our Heavenly Father for the remarkable miracle of the COVID-19 vaccination.  As the Church has formally written in its General Handbook, “Vaccinations administered by competent medical professionals protect health and preserve life.”  “Members of the Church are encouraged…
