Good evening brothers and sisters, One thing is for sure, Salt Lake City’s weather in the spring can be a little inconsistent, 50 degrees today and the forecast shows we will be in the mid 90’s next week. There is nothing really ordinary about where we live, we are convinced that is one of the reasons we are so fond our area. Ministering. We continue to be amazed at the many acts of kindness happening in our community. And believe there is an increased sense of unity among both our neighbors and complete strangers alike. As we continue to make progress to overcome the affects of COVID-19, we need to…

Good evening Parley’s 3rd Ward, We hope you have had a peaceful weekend. We have been fortunate to enjoy some beautiful spring weather. This spring feels particular special as we progress towards a little less restricted way of life. Unfortunately this week Parley’s 3rd Ward has experienced the loss of one of our own. Our dear Sister Elizabeth (Liz) Bowden unexpectedly passed away this morning of natural causes at her home. Sister Bowden, a long time resident of Bernadine Drive is known by her neighbors and friends as a kind and compassionate sister. Her witty personality and positive outlook was infections to those around her. Among other frequent acts of…

Happy Mother’s Day! We are all very grateful for the mothers and women in our lives. We are blessed to be associated with such great examples of loving mothers and women in our own families and in our neighborhood. The impact of tender-hearted and strong women is far reaching and absolutely essential in ministering to our Heavenly Father’s children. When women of the Church and the world stand together they are a powerful force for good. Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf has said, “As we look at the history of this earth and at the history of the restored Church of Jesus Christ, it becomes obvious that women hold a special…

Parley’s 3rd Ward, We hope this email finds you well this beautiful spring day. We miss seeing your smiling faces each Sunday. Although, a simple wave from our friends as we walk or drive up and down the streets of our neighborhood is comforting to the soul. Our youth are staying engaged and connected with creative/remote activities most weeks. Thanks to wonderful leaders who organize events that draw us together. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by kind and loving people. We have some wonderful messages for your Sunday in-home meetings from some of our Mighty P3 Missionaries. Greetings Parleys 4th Ward

Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Parleys Fourth Ward, We love you and think of you often during this time that we are unable to meet together. We want you to know that we pray for you and are inspired by your goodness in the acts of service and kindness that we hear reported so regularly. We hope you have been inspired and strengthened by the recent messages given by our Prophet and other church leaders in General Conference as well as by the opportunity to reflect upon the Savior and His Atonement during the Easter season. As the weather warms and new life springs up around us, may we…

    We miss you

Boy do we miss you!!!  It is amazing how easy it was to take seeing one another every week for granted.  I guess we’ll never do that again! Here is the link to view the conference selfies that some of our sisters chose to share:    -Thank you to those who braved quarantine hair and make-up (or lack thereof) to join us in this effort.  We hope that seeing faces of those we love will bring you joy and peace on this beautiful Sabbath day.
