Bishopric message
Good afternoon Parley’s 3rd Ward,
There is reason for great hope and encouragement as a vaccine for COVID 19 is in early phases of distribution in our community. Through our faith in God and persistence, we continue to progress toward a better world. “Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God” Ether 12:4. We continue to be impressed with the deep-seated anchors of faith and testimony that you have leaned on and continued to strengthen during this time of unrest. As we continue to turn to the Lord and his abundant love for us, we will grow closer to him and be strengthened in our trials.
In tomorrow’s sacrament meeting we will be blessed to hear from Cary and Dan Berg. The Berg’s are outstanding neighbors and are great contributors to our community. To participate virtually in the meeting click here.

We are so grateful for the McCullough’s and their passion for family history.
We are excited to inform you that Mary and Brent Maybe will be leading an Emotional Resilience class as part of our Ward’s Self-Reliance efforts. The class is intended help members learn and put into practice principles of faith, education, hard work and trust in the Lord. Thanks to the Mabey’s for leading this class at a very appropriate time when we can all benefit from some emotional wisdom and support. If you are interested in participating please contact Mary Maybe or a member of the Bishopric.
Parents and leaders of young men and young women. You have likely heard that FSY has been canceled for 2021. However, we are feeling confident that we will be able to have either a Stake or Ward youth event in 2021. We are now waiting for direction from our area leaders about what is allowable and recommended for this summer. As young women’s and young men’s leaders, we feel a real need to gather our youth together and create some experiences and memories together. Clearly, any activity planned by the Stake and/or Ward will be done with the safety and well being of our youth and leaders as top priority.
Thank you for volunteering for our 2021 welfare assignments. Andy Smith has created a simple and easy way to sign up for our Ward’s assignments. Our next assignment is Thursday, February 4 from 7:30 to 11:30am, at the Deseret Cannery, in the cheese department. Click here to sign up.
