3rd Ward

Bishopric message

Good evening Brothers and Sisters,

In spite of the fact that we are living in an uncertain time, we have been taught throughout the scriptures that if we continue to have hope and faith, we should have nothing to fear about the future. In Alma 36:3 Alma encourages his son Helaman, “I beseech of thee that thou wilt hear my words and learn of me; for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day”.

It is hard to imagine a stronger support group than we have with our friends of the Parley’s 3rd Ward. As a Ward family we have experienced small and significant trials together. Our trials have made us stronger and have brought us closer together. To thrive during the COVID-19 pandemic will require us to support one another more than we ever have before. And we will be required to do so in new and unconventional ways.

We’d like to add a few more midweek addresses to our building collection of wisdom from the members of our ward. We are so grateful for the Jorgensen’s and the Schwendiman’s for sharing their thoughts and testimonies with us. Please click on the links below to hear the audio messages.

Henry & Renee Schwendiman – Testimony of Smith and the Restoration

We are anticipating a memorable and impactful General Conference this coming weekend. President Dieter F. Uchtdorf gave us some wise council; “As you prepare for General Conference, I invite you to ponder questions you need to have answered. There are messages in each General Conference given as a gift and a blessing from Heaven specifically for our personal life situations.”

Have a wonderful General Conference experience. Thank you for your faith and the many of acts of kindness that bless us as your neighbors.

Love,

The Bishopric
