Bishopric message

Dear Friends,

In springtime we are reminded of the First Vision. In the spring of 1820, God our Father and Jesus Christ appeared and spoke to Joseph Smith and thus commenced the restoration of all things. Over 200 years later, we are admonished by our current prophet to develop within ourselves the ability to communicate with God. President Nelson has taught that, “In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.”

We also share President Nelson’s prophetic warning that “If most of the information we get comes from social or other media, our ability to hear the whisperings of the Spirit will be diminished.” We invite you to join us in redoubling our efforts to develop the essential skill of receiving personal revelation.
