Bishopric message
Dear Friends,
We marvel at the story of the Lamanites who converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ because of the preaching of Ammon and his brothers. This story is one of faith, repentance, and enduring to the end. This story is about allowing Jesus to change us.
These people were willing to listen and try their faith. When they felt God’s spirit, they made up their minds, acted in righteousness and never swayed! It is said of them that “as many of the Lamanites as believed in their preaching, and were converted unto the Lord, never did fall away. For they become a righteous people; they did lay down the weapons of their rebellion, that they did not fight against God any more…”
May we too allow the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the preaching of His prophets to penetrate our hearts and to amplify our faith. May we each lay down whatever belief/thought/attitude/behavior of ours that is rebellious. May we too someday stand among those who stayed strong in the faith…and never wavered.
