Dear Brothers & Sisters,
We are excited to hear from Sister Avery Smith, returning from the Philippines Olongapo mission, and Elder Aidan Smith, departing for the Nevada Reno mission. Please join us for sacrament meeting beginning at 12 pm this Sunday. We also invite you to attend our ward temple night scheduled for July 20th (this Sat evening at 5pm at Jordan River).
In Alma 30 we learn about the false doctrine and ultimate demise of the Anti-Christ Korihor. Despite significant success amongst the Nephites in the land of Zarahemla, his mission to the people of Ammon was not successful. These people were described by Mormon as “more wise than many of the Nephites.” Why? Because they would not abandon their discipleship in Christ for flattery and philosophical arguments that lead away from the Savior. Thus in wisdom, he was bound and physically expelled from their lands. Likewise, may we expel from our lives the false doctrines and philosophies that seek to lead us away from Christ. With great joy we exclaim, we are His disciples and we will follow Him!
