December 7th, Saturday: P3 Relief Society Christmas brunch from 9:30 – 11:30 am. See attached invitation.
December 14th, Saturday: Ward Christmas Breakfast at the P3 Building, from 9:00 am – 10:30 am.
December 22nd, Sunday: The only meeting on Sunday, December 22 will be our P3 Christmas Sacrament meeting beginning at 12pm. There is no 2nd hour that day and all other meetings are to be cancelled. We encourage you to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join us as we come together to worship our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ongoing: 2025, FSY (For the Strength of Youth) Conference “pre-registrations” are now underway. All youth, turning 14 or older, are encouraged to participate. Registration information has been emailed to parents. Contact Luke Behrmann with additional questions.
Now and through Mid-December: The Parleys Stake is asking for volunteer tutors for young students who are currently reading below their grade level. Parkview Elementary, K through 3rd grade. You can volunteer as little as one hour per week, Monday – Friday, during school hours. Contact Marge Sorensen (P4) at (801) 419-4875.
MISSIONARY UPDATES:
· We have been assigned our own set of full-time missionaries for the Parley’s Stake. Elders Hiatt and Sanders. They have a new number (801) 979-0816. With the privilege of having our own missionaries also comes the responsibility of helping them engage in the work. Contact Dan Berg at (801) 419-8000 if anyone has interest in feeding the missionaries, having them share a message in your home, or want to refer someone for them to teach.
STAKE CHRISTMAS MUSIC PROGRAM:
· Once again, we are preparing for our Annual Stake Christmas Music Program. It will be held on Sunday, December 8TH, at 3:30 PM (new time!) in the Parleys Stake Center gym. We would love to have string players – violin, viola, cello and bass – of all ages and abilities to come and participate. Our rehearsals will be for the next 3 Sundays (Nov 17, 24th, and Dec 1st) at 3:00 PM in the stake center gym. Rehearsals last about an hour. Bring your instrument, a music stand, and your enthusiasm as we prepare beautiful Christmas music.
