Dear Friends, In Moroni 10:3-5 we are divinely encouraged to receive our own witness that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. This unique appeal sets a standard for how the sons and daughters of God may receive confirmations of ANY eternal truth. We draw your attention to verse three, where we are taught to search for and feel gratitude as part of the revelatory process. “…that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been from the creation of Adam, even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.” The prophet Moroni is teaching us how to prepare our…

Bishopric message
Dear Friends, We are promised in scripture that the Father will send His Spirit into our lives, into our spaces, into our hearts to bear witness of truth and to comfort His children. The ability to recognize the workings of the Holy Ghost in our lives is certainly a skill to be developed over a lifetime. As we seek for divine expressions, we are promised to find them. For each of us to be successful in this endeavor, we must persevere…living good lives, searching the scriptures, repenting often, and serving others. As we make and keep covenants with God, our ability to recognize Him and His hand in our lives…

Dear Brothers & Sisters, The temple, our chapel’s steeple, the mountains, the scriptures, modern prophets and apostles. All of these are pointing, reaching, inspiring, and leading us to the gospel of Jesus Christ. The plan of salvation, founded on Christ and his divine mission, provides spiritual knowledge and power to combat the challenges of our fallen and modern world. Let us point our lives towards Him, reach out and partake of His goodness and love, lead and inspire with every thought, word, and deed. May we be valiant in our testimonies of Jesus Christ. With love, Parley’s 3rd Ward Bishopric Announcements: Sacrament meeting will begin Sunday morning at 9 am.…

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Celebrating Pioneer Day this last week always leaves an impression of those that have gone before us, leaving us an example of how to sacrifice and follow the Savior in our lives. As we “turn our hearts to our fathers”, this Sunday we will focus our worship on the sweetness and power of the temple. President Nelson taught “The temple lies at the center of strengthening our faith and spiritual fortitude because the Savior and His doctrine are the very heart of the temple. Everything taught in the temple, through instruction and through the Spirit, increases our understanding of Jesus Christ. His essential ordinances bind us…

Dear Friends, This week on the 4th we commemorated the beginnings and independence of the United States. We hope that you enjoyed the holiday. We proclaim with one voice, adding ours to the many before us, that the God of Heaven orchestrated the founding of this great nation, that the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ personally walked among the ancient inhabitants of this continent, and that both God our Father and Jesus Christ appeared to the boy Joseph Smith. This is a blessed land and we are a blessed people. We members of the Church of Jesus Christ are uniquely fortunate. May each of us do our part to preserve the…

Dear Brothers & Sisters, It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Sister Elsa Berthold this past week. We express our deepest condolences to the entire Berthold family and want them to know our thoughts and prayers are with them. The funeral will be held July 11th. We testify of the power and majesty of our Savior’s atonement and resurrection. He lives! In Him all mortal experience is encompassed and swallowed up. Through Him we may be reconciled with the Father. His sacrifice and the plan of salvation are a complete expression of God’s love for each of us. May we abide with our Savior and…
