Parleys Stake – COVID-19
We are monitoring closely the coronavirus virus (COVID-19) to ensure we do our part to limit the impact it may have in our communities. We are also aware of the Governor’s remarks this morning about public gatherings. As a Stake Presidency, we are continuing to discuss what this means for the Parleys Stake, including what it means for this Sunday’s meetings. We will be reaching out to you before Sunday to give specific guidance. In the meantime, we remind you of the suggestions the experts recommend and ask you to adhere to them, including the following:
- If you’re feeling sick, please stay home.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water and scrub them vigorously for at least 20 seconds.
- Do not sneeze or cough into your hand. Use a tissue. If one isn’t available, sneeze or cough into the inside of your elbow.
- Avoid personal contact, e.g., handshakes, fist bumps, hugs, even elbow bumps.
To be clear, this is not a time of panic, but a time to use good and common sense, and to follow the advice of the CDC and other trusted professionals. We love each of you and hope that we will support one another as we work to be careful during this precautionary time. Your faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ, continues to be exemplary, especially in times like this when we must look to care for one another.
We look forward to updating you soon.
