Dear Friends, In springtime we are reminded of the First Vision. In the spring of 1820, God our Father and Jesus Christ appeared and spoke to Joseph Smith and thus commenced the restoration of all things. Over 200 years later, we are admonished by our current prophet to develop within ourselves the ability to communicate with God. President Nelson has taught that, “In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.” We also share President Nelson’s prophetic warning that “If most of the information we get comes from social or other media, our ability to hear…

Dear Friends, We look forward to our sacrament meeting tomorrow beginning at 12 pm. We will hear from our primary and 6 of our 15 graduating seniors this week. We invite you to bring along any friends or family who may be with you this Mother’s Day weekend. All are welcome! Come Follow Me this week taught that the laws, practices, and tabernacle worship of the ancient Israelites pointed them to their Savior. Recently the phrase “I would look up…” has been on my mind. For me this phrase elicits a desire to look beyond myself, to change my perspective and my heart, and to see with greater clarity the…

Dear Brothers & Sisters, We look forward to meeting with you tomorrow in fasting and edifying each other through our testimonies of the Savior, for the virtual option please click here. As we read about how the Israelites were “all in” after witnessing the many miracles that lead to their freedom from captivity. Then to see how quickly they looked for another path with the absence of the Lord’s Holy prophet to guide them. Reminds us of how blessed we are today to be able to have constant communication from the Lord through His holy prophet Russel M. Nelson and to know the Lord’s will and to help us through…

Dear Friends, The miracle of springtime renewal is an earthly expression of the Great Plan of Redemption and God’s love for the human family. As we worship God our Father and learn of Jesus Christ, as we strive to obey the commandments and repent daily, as we study and ponder the words of the prophets >> we are able to draw upon the redemptive and enabling powers of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We testify to you that this gospel does lead to peace today and eternal life in the world to come! We further testify that God rejoices in any amount of righteous effort we put forth! Please join…

Dear Brothers & Sisters, As we celebrate Easter, we reaffirm and bear testimony of the message shared by the First Presidency this week that: ” ‘He is risen’ was the angelic message of the first Easter. With feelings of worship and gratitude, we declare our witness that Jesus Christ is indeed risen. God the Father has given us the divine birth, the incomparable life, and the infinite atoning sacrifice of His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. By the power of the Father, Jesus rose again and claimed victory over death. He is our resurrected Savior, our Exemplar, and our Redeemer. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the…

Dear Brothers & Sisters, Tomorrow is our ward conference. Many of our stake leaders will join us for sacrament meeting and second hour. We are excited to be with them. We hope that you can join us. A virtual option is available HERE. During an existential crisis, with the Israelites trapped between the Red Sea and the armies of Pharaoh, the Lord’s counsel through his prophet Moses was as follows: Fear not Stand still See the salvation of the Lord Sometimes there is nothing we can do but lean upon our faith, quiet our hearts and minds and hands/feet, and patiently watch for the Lord’s intervention in our lives. May…

Dear Friends, Springtime is a sweet reminder that God lives and that He is in the business of making things new! We are grateful to have a knowledge of Him and we testify that He indeed is real. “Yea, all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.” -Alma 30:44 We also testify that from God springs all eternal truth. May each of us seek these truths, and gain a personal witness of them,…

Dear Brothers & Sisters, It was an exciting week, Sister Ellie McCullough received her mission call to the Washington DC South mission and Brother Jake Haslam received his call to serve in the Phnom Penh, Cambodia Mission. As we continued our study of the life of Joseph this past week, we marvel at the example he was, the tribulations that he overcame, his capacity to forgive, along with the countless other lessons we learn from his life that shows our Father in Heaven has a plan for each one of us. We re-extend the invitation from Come follow me to forgive someone in your life and allow our Savior’s love…

Dear Friends, We are grateful this evening for the goodness of God. We are thankful for prophets and apostles. All around us the world is in turmoil. Everywhere we turn, the philosophies of men and women seek to circumvent eternal truths. We testify to you that if we will build our lives “upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God” the world and its philosophies “will have no power over us.” Therefore, my brothers and sisters, we beseech you to “seek this Jesus”, who is “mighty to save!” We pray that each of us will find the time to turn off social media and turn…
